MFC Boerhoorn

Rolde's community centre on the Zuides, with a sports hall, the library and rooms for clubs, and the health centre next door.

The new Boerhoorn opened in December 2021. The MFC Boerhoorn Rolde foundation runs the building, which is meant as the village's living room: a place where residents meet and where clubs and organisations hold their activities, from sport and theatre to film, talks and courses.

The library, Attenta, Impuls, the Rolder Historisch Gezelschap (Rolde's local history society) and Stichting Kinderopvang Rolde rent space there every day, while GPs and physiotherapists work in the health centre next door. Other regular users include two bridge clubs, the Gemengd Senioren Koor Rolde, the Culturele Vereniging Rolde and Ontmoeting Ouderen Rolde (OOR).

Handball club Unitas plays its home matches in the sports hall and trains there several times a week. Volleybal Vereniging Rolde and G en A Rolde also use the hall, and in the winter months the youngest youth teams of football club Rolder Boys train there.

Rooms can be hired, with catering if wanted. During opening hours the Brinkcafé, the centre's bar, serves drinks and something to eat.
