About Rolde
History
Rolde was first mentioned in 1232, as Roetlo. For centuries the village was an administrative centre of Drenthe: until 1688 the Etstoel, the region's highest court, met here.
A cycling and motorcycling route along the original circuits of the TT races, which began in 1925.
